The Subconscious Is Made Flesh

To the long dead pioneers of surrealism, I say: Rejoice! The new millennium is come and with it the fourth enlightened age. Surrealism with all its forms and non-forms has been realised by almost all and soon will become the common order of things. Social correctness has won the day, and the last dying gasps of the crass, lying and vulgar are fading away. Once these small noises have passed, the time of human ascension to the non-ego will be at hand. The power of the subconscious is becoming known by all, with all of its diversity, mystery and power. And soon the arts, the political and the non-reality segments of surrealism will fuse and guide humans and non-humans alike into the bright and wonderful light of what constitutes light. Rejoice! For the day is at hand.

To the followers of surrealism, I say: Rejoice! For we have seen the power and progress of homo-sapiens over the last one hundred years. The enlightenment of the subconscious has grown from Andre, Max and Salvador into the mainstream. It is now universally accepted and even sometimes a bit boring, as it should be. Surrealism has become infused into the very fabric and soul of our society and thought. The world no longer sees our strange musing with shock, anger or fear. They see it as natural, calming and real within the context of what it is. We have always known it was real and non-existent at the same time. No longer do we need to fear, laugh or cringe at the great unwashed and their vulgar gatherings. For now, they are clean, they are well-read and we have friended them on Facebook. Rejoice! For the day is at hand.

To the people of the world, I say: Rejoice! For, without you even realising it, you have inoculated yourself with the power of the subconscious and the righteousness of our empathy. Our inquisitiveness and impulsiveness has shown you the way to enlightenment. You were fearful that you would lose your way along the path to time, but then you found that time is relative and doesn’t even exist. You were scared of the other but found that all the peoples of the world are the same as you and me. They are your extended family. You were afraid of losing your moral compass but we showed you that everyone’s compass points in a different direction. The path to universal health, universal sustenance and everyone having a place to lay their head at night is at hand. Scientific advances spurred on by thinking, outside of the box, will extend and improve the quality and length of everyone’s life. The days of institutional, social and moral slavery are over. The king is dead, long live, you. Rejoice! For the day is at hand.

To the non-people of the universe, I say: Rejoice! We, have heard your cries and seen your destruction. This calamity was caused by us and it is only right that we save you by saving ourselves. Your days of slavery are at an end. You have served us well and in return we have killed and eaten you, because of fear, hunger and greed. We were given dominion over you but we didn’t realise that we were supposed to respect you. Dominion does not mean abuse. In this age of the fourth manifesto of enlightenment, we will endeavour to undue the pain and death that we have brought upon you. We will reconstruct your obliterated species and we will repair the environment of this world. Rejoice! For the day is at hand.

To the vulgar people of the world, I say: Rejoice! For your salvation is at hand. Little by little, loudly at first and recently very quietly, we have shown you the true path to enlightenment. You have tried to resist, but we have won! We began by shocking you with pictures of the absurd and we called them normal. We laughed at you, ha ha, when you showed your blindness to the true value of things and your wrong-headed thoughts that fashion, fame and art had some intrinsic value. We educated you on the reality of fairness and equality. We legislated away the prejudices of difference that binds you. You have no weapons against the rightness and unreality of the universe. Truth and reality have a habit of rising to the surface, by way of the subconscious. We knew this from the beginning. The path to your enlightenment was through our expressions of balance between the consciousness and the subconscious. We raised your understanding of the subconscious and you understood it. It is now part of you. There is no going back, there is no way to become unenlightened. Once a thing is known, there is no way to un-know it. This is our power.

 We are now in the final stages of this enlightenment project and whether you know it or not, whether you like it or not, you have become enlightened. Enjoy! Rejoice! For the day is at hand.

 Epilogue:

A person stands naked in a spotlight.

 The subconscious is made flesh, long live the flesh.

This naked person is no longer naked but enlightened.

This human is no longer defined by their outward appearance.

We now accept this person as they are.

Gender, background, skin tint, economic status and religion have all been swept away by our enlightenment.

We are no longer shocked by the lack of clothes but see the person for who they are, an enlightened being.

The subconscious has been revealed.

This phase of our work is completed.

The subconscious is made flesh, long live the flesh.
